BYU Professor condemns his students to "great destruction."

In a grammatically-incorrect and mis-spelled letter, BYU professor David Cardon allegedly posted a condemnation of his students who voted for Donald Trump. The condemnation was placed on his office door, where it was displayed in a prominent position that students could not avoid when traversing the area. As of November 7, 2024, the condemnation had not been taken down.
The letter manipulated scripture to condemn to "great destruction" students who voted for Donald Trump. According to one source, students who have been threatened have understandably not spoken up for fear of retaliation. Mr. Cardon's letter also appears to condemn any BYU parents, donors, or other supporters to "great destruction," despite their critical role in paying donations and tithes to subsidize his salary.
Mormon Country has sought a response from BYU but none has been provided as of the time of publishing.

Professor David Cardon at @BYU allegedly posted this on his door for his students to read. Appropriate for a professor to say to students who may look to him as a leader of "education"? And who may have voted for @realDonaldTrump ? BYU, what say ye? pic.twitter.com/xdTHVzTrmm
